Statement of
Faith and Purposes

The programs and activities of New Life Family Ministries shall be based and at all times be consistent with the following beliefs:

A. The Holy Bible (both the Old and New Testaments) is verbally inspired by God and is the revelation of God to man and is the infallible rule of faith and conduct.(II Tim. 3:15; 1 Thes. 2:13; II Peter 1:21)

B. There is but one God, Maker of all things, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.(Gen.1:1;Gen.1:26;Mat.28:19;Luke 3:22)

In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ

  1. His Virgin Birth(Mat.1:23)
  2. His sinless life(1 Pet.2:21,22)
  3. His Miracles(Acts 10:38)
  4. His substitutionary work on the cross(II Cor.5:21)
  5. His bodily resurrection from the dead(1 Cor.15:24)
  6. His ascension to the right hand of the Father(Acts 2:32,33)
   7. His future return to bodily resurrect His Church to be forever with Him
in spirit, soul and glorified body(1 Thes.4:14-17)
   8. His personal return and one thousand-year reign on as King of Kings and Lord of Lords(Rev. 19:16; Rev. 20:1-4)
   9. Final judgement of all who do not believe(Matt.25:46; Mark 9:43; Rev.19:20; Rev.20:11; Rev.21-8)
  10. All men who have faith, received Jesus as Savior, will lie in a new heaven and earth after the judgement(Rom.5:1; II Pet.3:13; Rev.21:21)

D. That man has sinned against God; is spiritually separated from God due to man's fallen nature because of sin; that man must be born again to see and enter the kingdom of God; that God has provided one way through confession of faith in Jesus Christ to redeem man from his fallen state.(Gen.2:17; Gen.3:16; Rom.5:1-12; Rom.6:23; John 3:3; Rom.10:9,10-13; Titus 3:5-7)

E. We believe in the right to life for all conceived human beings(Pro. 6:16-17).Also in the sanctity of marriage(Heb.13:4) and moral sexual conduct according to God's Word.(Rom.1:18-32)

F. There is the forgiveness of sins for all those that have accepted Jesus christ as their savior and confess their sins to the Lord.(1Jn.1:9)

G. That the infilling of the Holy Spirit is a separate experience subsequent to the New Birth and is always evidenced by speaking in tongues to all believers who received the Holy Spirit.(Acts 1:4-8; Acts 2:4; 1 Cor.14:2,4; Luke 1:13; Acts 8:12-17; 10:4-46; Acts 11:14-16; 15:7-9; 19:6)

H. And further, that those who receive the infilling of the Holy Spirit may operate in the gifts of the Holy Spirit today and in this time as the Spirit wills. The purpose of the gifts of the Spirit is the edifying of the Church.(1 Cor.12:1-31; 1 Cor.14:12)

I. Church and its Mission and its Ministry:
The church(all believers) are the literal body of Christ and all believers are integral working members within the ministry of reconciliation, seeking and saving those who are lost.(Eph.1:22; Eph.2:12; II Cor.5:18-20; Matt.23:19; Mark 16:15-16)

J. Divine healing is part of our redemption:
That mankind was redeemed from sin and sickness by the work of the Lord Jesus in His death, burial and resurrection, and that this redemption is received by faith.(Is.53:4; Matt.8:17-18; Mark 11:22-24; James 5:14-16; Rom.10:8-10)

K. Church Ordinances:
1. Water Baptism by immersion. All who receive Jesus as Lord and Savior shall be baptized in water as a sign of salvation, showing physically to the world what has happened spiritually. They have died with Christ to sin and sickness and been raised with Him to a new life.(Rom.6:3-11)
2. The Lord's Supper. Symbolistically showing the sharing of our Divine Nature with our Lord.(II Pet.1:4) Also a memorial to His death(1 Cor.11:26) and looking forward to His appearance.(1 Cor.11:26)
3. The Laying on of Hands: One way for the anointing of God to be transferred to another.(Matt. 8:14-15; Mk.6:5; 2 Kings 4:32-37) Believers are to operate in this(Mk.16:15-20 Endowment Acts 13:2-4; Acts 8:14-17) Baby dedication(Mk.10:13-16)
